Visiting the site (server log files)

When you open this website, your browser transmits technically necessary data to our hosting provider: the address requested, date and time, the volume of data transferred, the status code, the referring page, browser and operating system details, and your IP address. This data is required to deliver the page and serves operational security.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data is neither combined with other sources nor evaluated for advertising purposes.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel processes the connection data described above on our behalf. This may involve a transfer to the United States, safeguarded by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and our data processing agreement with Vercel.

YouTube videos

Several pages embed videos from YouTube. As long as you do not start a video, nothing is loaded from YouTube: what you see is a preview image served from our own server. No connection to Google is established.

Only when you actively click play is the video loaded from youtube-nocookie.com. From that moment Google receives your IP address and further browser data and may process it; if you are signed in to Google, the request may be linked to your account. The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Language preference

The site remembers your language locally in your browser. On your first visit it sets a technical marker so that the one-off redirect based on your browser language is not repeated; once you use the language switch, your deliberate choice is stored as well. Neither entry leaves your device and neither contains personal data. You can remove them at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

Fonts and external content

All fonts are served from our own server; there is no connection to Google Fonts or any other font service. External links are marked as such and open in a new window; their providers are responsible for their content and data processing.

Encrypted transmission

This website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS), indicated by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar. Data you send to us cannot be read by third parties in transit.

Retention

Server log files are kept only as long as required for operational security and are deleted afterwards. Beyond this, we store no personal data.

Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy whenever the underlying processing changes. The version published here is the one that applies; the date of the last change is shown at the top of this page.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
